Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Act as focal point towards the suppliers for operational activities and contract management, and as ambassador of the supplier towards internal functions

  • Assess suppliers during tendering phase and contribute to the selection decision

  • Manage supply chain & quality aspects of the contract, being responsible for On Time, On Quality (and On Cost when applicable) performance

  • Manage supplier quality Approval ensures that suppliers are compliant with certifications required in coordination with relevant stakeholders

  • Monitor or support new product introduction to ensure industrial qualification maturity before serial phase

  • Assess the Supplier capacity, capability & performance and contribute to the Supplier development

  • Identify the supplier industrial risks and propose mitigation actions

  • Work out short term recovery plans

  • Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects

Desired skills and qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • Many years of experience in Supply Chain Management and the management of Service Providers

  • Solid Experience in aerospace sector

  • Many years of experience with Airbus Tools, Google suite, SAP and SMP

  • Good knowledge of the contract process

  • Good communication and negotiation skills

  • Team player and autonomous

  • Willingness to travel (about 20% travel in Europe)

  • Fluent in English is mandatory and knowledge of German and French are a plus
