Quality Engineering Co-op

Northstar Aerospace® leads the industry in Aerospace components. We supply a worldwide market through comprehensive development plans and innovative design. Our facilities span the North American continent with manufacturing in Canada and the USA. We focus on the conception and installation of flight critical gears and transmissions, accessory gearbox assemblies, rotorcraft drive systems, and other machined and fabricated parts for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. We also offer maintenance and repairs and provide overhaul services on these products.

What is the goal of this position?
To increase velocity in the inspection department, reduce hours, eliminate paperwork, and reduce lost records, including work with the following items:

• Nital Etch Process - digital
• Final Inspection - digital
• WIFI gauges IP Digital integration
• COC's automation with Office Buddy or in CSI
• Process Compliance Sheets - Digital - RCCA, and results
• Calibration system to CSI - clean it up, streamline

Job Requirements:

• Must be enrolled in a post-secondary engineering program
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment (extrovert type personality)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Intermediate skill set with respect to MS Office
