Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Shipping and Receiving Production Associate to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of aerospace parts, materials, and equipment. The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety in a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.

  • Prepare and package outgoing shipments according to customer specifications, industry standards, and export compliance regulations.

  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of all shipments, including bills of lading, packing slips, certificates of conformance, and other required paperwork.

  • Use ERP/MRP systems to track inventory, shipments, and receipts.

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Maintain organized shipping/receiving areas and ensure materials are stored correctly to avoid damage or contamination.

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to handle non-conforming materials or parts.

  • Schedule freight pickups and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.

  • Comply with all aerospace industry standards (e.g., AS9100) and company safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional logistics or supply chain certification is a plus.

  • 1–3 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. CSI, or similar).

  • Knowledge of export control regulations (ITAR/EAR)

  • Ability to read and understand technical documents, part numbers, and shipping instructions.

  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, label printers, scanners, etc.).

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

  • Able to successfully pass a police clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with AS9100/ISO 9001 environments.

  • Familiarity with aerospace parts and materials (e.g., aluminum, titanium, composites).

  • Understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing/warehouse setting with moderate noise and activity levels.

  • Must wear appropriate PPE (e.g., safety glasses, steel-toed shoes) when required.

  • May require occasional overtime or weekend work based on production schedules.
