We’re on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) to join our close-knit Engineering team here at Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA).
As a key member of the Maintenance team, you’ll be hands-on with everything from electrical distribution systems to the essential inner workings of our terminal and outlying airport facilities. It’s a role that’s critical to delivering a safe, efficient and seamless experience for the millions of passengers who travel through LBA each year.
Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and switchgear.
Supporting other maintenance activities including plumbing, joinery, baggage handling systems, and general building upkeep.
Keeping accurate maintenance records, reports and compliance logs.
Responding quickly and effectively to critical system issues — safety first!
Working collaboratively with your team to keep the airport operating at its best, 365 days a year.
Time-served qualified Electrician with current 18th Edition Certification.
Experience in commercial/industrial environments — airport experience is a bonus!
Strong communication skills, a flexible attitude, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong commitment to safety and standards.
You’ll need to meet aviation security clearance requirements, including:
A full 5-year checkable work history
A basic criminal record check
Completion of General Security and Awareness Training (we’ll help with this)
