Job environment

Job title of the line manager: Aircraft Operations Manager or Industrial Services Team Leader Job title of the functional manager (if any): Responsibilities: To organize and prepare for electrical work to be carried out on an aircraft or table on the basis of the drawing, manufacturing sequence or manufacturing file. To assemble and fit specific electrical systems on board aircraft sections. To route, install and connect electrical wiring harnesses and equipment systems.

Scope of Activities

To carry out some or all of the following activities: 

• Read and interpret the drawings in the manufacturing file
• Check the availability and compliance of everything required to carry out your task, and bring to the workstation
• Route electrical wiring: cut wires to length, strip ends, fit connectors and make connections (crimping, soldering, etc.)
• Assemble wiring harnesses on a work table
• Remove and fit aircraft electrical systems
• Integrate the component parts of an electrical assembly or cabinet
• Check wiring quality and its compliance with the definition and manufacturing file
• Resolve any faults detected
• Complete the tracking documents
• Keep your workstation clean and tidy.
• Commission electrical systems

Carry out all the processes involved in verifying the absence of electrical voltages onboard the aircraft

The activities are to be adapted for employees on work/study contracts (vocational training contracts, apprenticeship contracts, etc.) to remain consistent with their theory training.
