A400M Configuration Management-Temporary Position.

Job Description:

A temporary vacancy in the Configuration Management for Military Aircrafts has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. Once you join the department, you will have on your hands and talent the challenge of improving the way we configure our military products, as well to join a very transversal Engineering function with an extensive interface all along the company.

The activities of the position cover the activities of Change and Equipment Management in Eurofighter and in the coming challenges from FCAS

We want you to conduct our processes, provide operational support to Design Engineering activities, promote and give training in our processes and contribute to improving them.

In the framework of your activities, you will have interaction with Specific Design, Systems Analysis, Procurement, Services, Programs and Airworthiness in Airbus Defence and Space as well as with our equivalent Configuration functions along the Airbus Group.

Tasks:

• Manage modifications flow.
• Support to certification process for authorities.
• Prepare reports on the configuration at different stages.
• Define the general criteria and requirements that must fulfil the design product structure, as well as support to its creation.
• Participate as representative in the Configuration meetings.
• Check if as design product structure comply with change objectives and procedures.
• Participate in the definition of requirements to be implemented on PLM related with the Configuration Management tasks. Verificación and validation of its implementation.
• Support the update and definition of configuration procedures included in Design Organization Manual.

Expected profile of the applicant

• Transparency, Collaboration, Ownership and Discipline
• Educated to Aeronautical or Industrial engineering degree or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in Configuration Management in Design, Manufacturing Engineering or Customer Services.
• Experience in Getafe Military DOA programs

• Knowledge of configuration tools/PLM, especially CMS and 3DX will be valued
• Advanced level in English and Spanish
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive and brave, able to propose new ideas and improvement driven.
