In This Role, You Will:

  • Manage the procurement of machine and technical parts across all product lines and custom projects.
  • Use the company ERP (SAP) to prepare purchase orders for materials, components, consumables, and equipment in-line with company cost expectations, quality, delivery and inventory goals
  • Drive supplier engagement, RFQs, pricing analysis, and PO placement with precision and urgency
  • Partner across engineering, finance, and operations to ensure parts are sourced on-time and on-budget
  • Support the negotiation of complex or unique purchase terms and conditions.
  • Ensure continuous supply of production materials, components and assemblies.
  • Communicate supply issues that may pose a risk or impact on business targets or customer expectations
  • Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduction of costs including new or alternate sources
  • Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement
  • Evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure compliance with quality and delivery expectations
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve price, quality, delivery and invoice issues
  • Work with suppliers and internal supply chain partners to expedite parts when required.
  • Develop, maintain and manage supplier relationships and ensure good communication with all critical suppliers
  • Use data to optimize decisions, identify risks, and elevate performance

  • An experienced Technical Buyer with a strong track record in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management.
  • A strategic thinker who identifies procurement challenges and drives cost-effective solutions.
  • A relationship builder who fosters trust with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for accuracy in purchasing and supplier evaluations.
  • Data-driven and confident using ERP systems and analytics tools to inform decisions.
  • A skilled negotiator who handles complex procurement scenarios with professionalism.
  • Committed to growth, always seeking to learn and improve through training and collaboration.
  • A Strong communicator with analytical and organizational skills to support efficient manufacturing operations. 
  • Ability to work & collaborate with key stakeholders across the business, including Sales, Finance, Engineering and Production.
  • Ability to demonstrate business acumen and judgment to understand and relay procurement requirements across internal and external customers.

What You Bring:

  • A University Degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering or suitable combination of education and related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive supply chain and/or contract management experience
  • Experience working in ERP/MRB systems
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with BI tools. 
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficiency at reading and understanding engineering drawings.  Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
