What you can expect from this position:
Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance Response, this role is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and repair of diverse life safety systems, encompassing preventative measures, component replacement, and system installations, while ensuring operational readiness and compliance. This includes meticulous inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of sprinkler, hydrant, pump, and related systems, alongside diligent documentation and adherence to technical specifications. The position also involves rigorous on-site monitoring of contractor work, ensuring quality assurance and security protocols, and coordinating with various trades to maintain the integrity of critical life safety equipment, including fire pumps, flow devices, and backflow preventers.

This unionized position is classified at the Band 8 level, with an hourly wage range of $51.51, based on a 40 hour work week. The successful candidate must be available to commence the duties of the position once a selection decision has been made. A test will be administered as a part of the competitive process. An eligibility list may be created.
