Solution Architect - Immersive & Connected Platform

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Solution Architect specializing in Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and experience in cloud technologies to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and deploying scalable and robust solutions leveraging AWS cloud services, Python programming, React for front-end interfaces and integrating with IoT devices. You will own the end-to-end architecture of connected device solutions — from device connectivity and data ingestion to dispatch, visualization, and integration with enterprise systems.

This role will also pioneer our next-generation capabilities in Edge AI, standardized RFID middleware, and generic Track & Trace services.

Key Responsibilities:

Architect & Design:

• Lead architectural design and development of complex, scalable, secure IoT solutions on AWS or similar cloud platforms, defining system components, device connectivity, data flows, and security.

• Design edge computing strategies for low-latency and distributed processing where required.

• Design and architectures for deploying AI/ML models at the edge (Edge AI), including model packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management integration with ModelOps platforms.

• Architect reusable, generic Track & Trace services and standardized RFID middleware solutions for seamless factory integration and asset tracking.

IoT Device & Protocol Expertise:

• Utilize expertise in IoT protocols (MQTT, HTTP, LoRaWAN) and RFID standards to integrate and manage diverse IoT devices, sensors, and readers.

• Design secure device onboarding, firmware updates, and lifecycle management strategies.

Cloud Integration:

• Leverage AWS IoT services (IoT Core, IoT Greengrass) and related cloud services for data ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization.

• Integrate containerized microservices running on EKS/ECS with other AWS components such as Lambda, DynamoDB, MSK, and IoT Core to build end-to-end solutions.

• AWS Cloud Integration: Design and implement solutions utilizing a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to:

• Compute: EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS

• Storage: S3, EBS

• Database: RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB

• Networking: VPC, Route 53, API Gateway, CloudFront

• Analytics: Kinesis, MSK

• IoT: IoT Core, Greengrass

• Security: IAM, KMS, WAF, Security Hub

Data Processing & Visualization:

• Design real-time and batch data pipelines for IoT data

• Collaborate on front-end interface designs using React or similar frameworks for dashboards and control systems.

Prototyping & PoCs:

• Build and validate proof-of-concepts and prototypes to test new IoT architectures, device integrations, and analytics workflows.

Technical Leadership & Mentorship:

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams, ensuring adoption of IoT and Cloud best practices, security standards, cloud architecture principles and Edge AI.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers, device engineers, data scientists, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable IoT solutions.

Performance & Optimization:

• Ensure IoT solutions are optimized for performance, security, scalability, cost, and reliability, including containerized application deployments.

Documentation:

• Create detailed architectural documentation, including Architectural Requirements Documents (ARD), design specifications, deployment guides, containerization strategies, and device integration manuals.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support development, testing, deployment, and maintenance phases.

Stay Current:

• Stay updated with emerging IoT trends, Edge AI, container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, ECS), cloud services, and industry standards to continuously improve solution offerings.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, or related field.

• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Solution Architect or similar role with strong IoT project exposure ideally including Edge AI, RFID systems, and/or asset tracking solutions.

• Deep understanding of IoT protocols, device management, and edge computing concepts.

• Hands-on experience with AWS services

• Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages and experience with cloud SDKs (e.g., Boto3).

• Experience with front-end development using React or similar frameworks is a plus.

• Knowledge of data processing pipelines, real-time analytics, and cloud data services.

• Experience with deploying machine learning models on edge devices.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.

• Solid understanding of security best practices specific to IoT environments.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional

• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional

• Knowledge of database design, both SQL and NoSQL

• Experience in building scalable data pipelines and event-driven architectures.
