Task Responsibilities:
In coordination with the respective Manager and as per the defined strategy, the Route Management (Senior) Agent or Route Owner steers the allocated as well as the free sale capacity to optimize flight load factors, revenues, and contribution margins. He/she manages the booking acceptance for his/her routes in cooperation with the stations, oversees that bookings are performed with all relevant information and adjusts the daily flight steering when necessary. He/She stays in close contact with analytical functions (Route Management Analyst, Revenue Management Support & Development Team, Pricing) to receive all information needed to successfully steer the commissioned routes.
The main tasks include but are not limited to:
- Optimize and maximize the use of available capacity on flights in a way to achieve the highest possible load factor and flight revenues.
- Forecast the assigned flights in both tonnage and revenue through analysis of the RM software output and perform the required steering updates in the assigned routes.
- Assist all Cargolux stations with their inquiries about space/capacity and/or rates and provide them with other necessary information they might require in a timely manner.
- Follow up closely on the cargo build-up process on a flight-by-flight basis, in coordination with the relevant stakeholders in order to anticipate problems and take remedial action.
- Handle and resolve discrepancies/irregularities that might occur on the assigned flights.
Working Conditions:
- Internal title for this position is: Agent (SR) Route Owner
- Full time position based in our HQ in Luxembourg;
- A certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection;
- Be flexible with working hours and ready to work weekends / public holidays.
