The Sales Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the sales team, and cultivating strong customer relationships in the competitive drone industry.  The Sales Manager oversees the sales function, from strategy development to team management, focusing on achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and enhancing customer satisfaction. In the main, the purpose of the role is to lead the sales team, develop effective sales strategies, and contribute to the company's financial success by driving revenue growth and customer acquisition.

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate in setting and managing the sales budget, including resource allocation for sales activities
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals and market trends. Set achievable sales targets, forecast revenues, and plan sales activities accordingly.
  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets. Provide coaching, training, and performance evaluations to enhance team productivity.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. Address client inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Manage the sales pipeline by tracking leads, opportunities, and deals through various stages. Implement effective sales processes and use CRM systems to track and manage sales activities.
  • Sales Execution: Direct the sales team in executing sales plans, prospecting, and closing deals. Monitor and evaluate sales processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Quota Achievement: Drive the achievement of sales targets and revenue quotas. Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Sales Collateral and Presentations: Coordinate the development of sales collateral, presentations, and materials. Ensure sales materials effectively communicate the company's value proposition.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring favourable terms for both parties. Oversee the process of closing deals and contracts.
  • Lead negotiations with key clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualifications: Relevant Degree/Certificate in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field would be an advantage. 

  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of progressive sales experience, with at least 2 years in a sales leadership role.
    • Experience in technology, aviation, or drone industry sales is an advantage. 
    • Collaborate in setting and managing the sales budget, including resource allocation for sales activities.
