GENERAL SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Sales - Southern Europe, the position will work closely with the A&D Director as well as Internal Sales team, Technical Sales team to drive both the overall Company business strategy and vertical strategy for A&D. Develops and executes sales business plans and strategies to maximize revenue growth, increase market share, and position the company as a strategic supplier at Key A&D customers within region.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work together with A&D Director to formalise strategic plans for focus A&D customers within Region as well as plans for overall growth of A&D revenue and engagement within the Region.
  • Manages customer activities within the defined Region, works in conjunction with the Internal Sales Representative and Technical Sales Manager to increase sales of Rochester Electronics products and services to customers in accordance with agreed strategies and business plans. 
  • Identifies major opportunities, gain information, and develop strategies utilizing all available resources to grow the account base within region. 
  • Manages the full sales cycle from lead generation, qualifying business opportunities, creating and delivering sales presentations, creating sales proposals, negotiating and closing the deal. 
  • Responsible for accurate and timely forecasting of new business opportunities and revenue for the region and ensuring CRM is utilized and maintained on a daily basis. 
  • Provides effective communication and service to the customer base and effectively navigate internally to influence decisions and priorities on active business opportunities.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • BA or BS Degree Required 
  • Proven Sales & Management experience 
  • Experience managing a large territory and working from a virtual office 
  • Experience in dealing with Aerospace and Defence customers/prospects
  • Strong technical sales experience and a proven track record of successfully selling high tech product solutions (strong working knowledge of the Semiconductor industry preferred) 
  • Proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including experience in closing complex product deals
  • Excellent communication, negotiating, closing skills with customers/prospects 
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking, ability to undertake several tasks at once and manage them efficiently 
  • Ability to work through a problem and maintain focus with little or no supervision 
  • Positive attitude with an ability to absorb & learn quickly 
  • Team Player 
  • Microsoft Office skills: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Language skills – French and English is must.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Must be able and willing to travel.
