Receptionist (Maternity Cover)

Are you an organised, proactive professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We’re looking for a Receptionist to join Aerial Direct on a maternity cover contract.

In this varied and engaging role, you’ll be the welcoming face of the company - greeting visitors, supporting our teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of our offices. Alongside front-of-house responsibilities, you’ll also support the Facilities Manager with administrative tasks, supplier and contractor management, and day-to-day site operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as the first point of contact for employees, clients, and visitors - delivering a professional, confident, and welcoming reception experience
  • Manage the reception desk, meeting rooms and bookings, and communal areas, ensuring the office is organised and welcoming
  • Welcome and check in visitors, issue access passes, and provide refreshments
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post and daily check-in reports, liaising with HR and department managers as required
  • Support the Facilities Manager with day-to-day site operations, including contractor liaison
  • Manage office procurement of stationery, merchandise, and consumables, balancing cost efficiency, quality, and sustainability
  • Maintain supplier relationships, monitor service levels, and support cost-saving initiatives
  • Update and manage our Facilities intranet pages, access pass systems, and compliance documentation
  • Carry out health, safety, and compliance checks, including fire alarm tests and first aid equipment inspections
  • Act as a First Aider and Fire Warden when required
  • Provide general administrative and operational support, supporting company events and other ad hoc tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional, approachable, and confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Experience in administration, reception, or operational support
  • Competent user of Microsoft 365, including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Previous reception or face-to-face customer service experience is desirable
  • A proactive, solution-focused team player with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities in a dynamic environment

Step 2: Meet with your would-be manager, our Facilities Manager, and a member of the team to talk through your motivations, whilst also getting a feeling for Aerial Direct. You’ll run through a few scenario based questions, and get the opportunity to ask anything you’d like to learn about.
