 Job Description:

To provide essential daily manual support to the production team on the shop floor, ensuring that staff working in production cells are fully supported with the tools, parts, and resources needed to operate efficiently. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth operations and contributing to overall production effectiveness. This is an ideal role for someone wishing to enter the Manufacturing Industry in an entry level role.

Shift patterns are Days - 06.30am - 2.30pm & Back Shift 2.30pm - 10.30pm rotating one week one one week off.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and return tools, fixtures, and equipment as required by cell staff, ensuring correct handling and storage.
  • Transport and return parts in and out of process, following appropriate handling procedures to maintain part integrity and traceability.
  • Assist with basic ongoing maintenance activities (e.g. cleaning work areas, tidying shared spaces, minor non-technical)
  • Be present and available for day-to-day manual tasks that help the production team remain focused on core machining and assembly tasks.
  • Timely delivery and return of tools and equipment to/from production cells.
  • Accurate and prompt movement of parts in and out of process.
  • Clean, tidy, and well-maintained work areas with basic maintenance tasks completed daily.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions consistently and accurately.
  • Proactive mindset with the willingness to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
  • Good verbal communication skills to ensure effective coordination with team members and supervisors.
  • Careful and methodical in completing tasks to ensure quality with internal standards.
