General Description
This position serves as Pilot-in-Command and has responsibility for the safety of passengers and crew and the comfortable, timely operation of the aircraft. Supervises the flight crew and ensures that all flight and ground operations comply with FAA Regulations and Pentastar Aviation’s 91 FOM. The candidate must work as a team member in a crew environment, be safety-oriented, possess strong leadership and CRM skills and embody superior customer service. Is responsible for all aspects of flight planning. Make decisions regarding possible delays, rerouting or flight cancellations. When not flying, may perform other general department duties.
As a pilot for Pentastar Aviation, crew members can expect to fly about 250 hours per year. The client, generally, gives at least 48 hours’ notice prior to trips.
Qualifications
· US FAA ATP Certificate
· Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a FAA First Class medical certification
· Minimum of 4,000 hours of total flight time
· Large cabin Gulfstream experience required
· Current and qualified or prior experience with GIV type rating preferred
· Bachelor’s degree preferred
· Ability to manage changing work schedule
· Candidate must be able to show at the aircraft within 2 hours of initial notification
· No accidents, incidents or violations
· Ability to obtain and maintain CANPASS authorization for unrestricted travel to/from Canada as a commercial pilot.
