Job Skills / Requirements

The Employee Care Advisor (ECA) supports their client group in ensuring PASS employees receive timely, consistent, and supportive service aligned with company values and organizational objectives. Reporting to the Director People & Culture, this role serves as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers for all employee relations matters, including investigations, leave management, workplace accommodations, benefits enquiries, and employee life cycle transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a resource by providing advice on human resources matters and policy interpretation to managers and employees. 
  • Provide performance management support and guidance to managers on coaching, development and other employee relations matters as required.
  • Lead internal investigation and mediation or conflict resolution support as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of employee training sessions or professional development activities.
  • Manage all employee leaves and workplace accommodations, including medical and legislated leaves, accommodation requests, and return-to-work planning.
  • Assist with special projects as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree an asset)
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in an Human Resources administration, or coordination role (experience in a unionized or aviation/security setting is an asset)
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Organized, pro-active, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing needs
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Able to obtain a Transportation Security Clearance (TSC) and meet federal security requirements


Salary: $75,000 - $80,000


Work Location: This position will fully based in our office at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
