Responsibilities:
• To achieve agreed sales revenue targets by developing and maintaining business/relationships with travel agencies and their respective clients.
• To monitor closely area sales performance and recommend actions where necessary to maximise revenue share and loyalty.
• To ensure the Sales Managers are kept well informed of assigned portfolio performance, market feedback, conditions, trends and competitor activities and make recommendations as appropriate to protect the overall interest and the profitability of the airline
• To create action plans to present to the Sales Manager based on market needs and feedback, competitor’s activities and subsequently assist in designing and developing the sales and marketing strategies for the territory to ensure growth in revenue and market share for TK.
• To visit actively both travel agency and corporate clients on the required call frequency basis.
• To engage actively with clients within portfolio and maintain the required calls frequency basis to build and maintain strong commercial relationships, and maintain necessary records, including sales call visits, topics discussed, agreements achieved.
• To promote & position TK corporate and leisure products including special segments (marine, humanitarian, cruise, student, MICE)
• To act as an ambassador for the company and attend industry functions, trade events, conferences and familiarization trips to establish contacts, network and promote the interests of TK in and out of office hours as required
• To negotiate agreements with corporate clients and review/assess performance.
• To account manage all activity with corporate travel agencies and ensure the effective dissemination and communication of TK developments to assigned clients.
• To conduct TK product training as required to ensure that assigned agencies are kept up to date with all TK products/services
Qualifications:
• This role is primarily office-based, with flexibility when attending travel Agency/ Tour operator meetings or undertaking duty travel.
• This position will also involve travel as well as attendance to events which may fall on weekends and outside of business hours.
• Must hold a valid local driver’s licence.
• Candidates must have the legal right to live and work unrestricted in Spain.
• A good standard of university education or business school qualification.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in field sales and all aspects of airline sales and marketing environment.
• Knowledge of reservations, fares and ticketing.
• Proven airline commercial skills and business acumen.
• Ability to maintain and interpret sales data/statistics.
• Sales negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English, as well as local Languages.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Proven experience in driving and delivering significant change.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications including (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of TK products and services
