What do Manager, Regional Operations do?

The Regional Operations Manger is a front line leader responsible for managing Operational Plans and leading front line supervision.  Regional Operations Managers will have a strong understanding of customer service excellence, CATSA operational expectations and procedures, labour relations, training and workforce optimization. This will be accomplished by: 

·       Support front line customer service excellence by responding to complaints as they are escalated

·       Work closely with the People and Culture Department to ensure delivery of training and support employee success

·       Building a strong and engaged workforce. Working closely with Labour Relations and the Manager of Employee Care to perform investigations, manage employee performance and absenteeism

·       Administration is not directly related to screening functions

·       Time and Attendance Systems (TAS) and Payroll Inquiries

·        Paladin KPI reporting required to enhance efficient screening operations (not KPIs required as service deliverables directly by CATSA)

·       The management of Paladin provided technology, consumables, and uniforms

·       Transporting Personnel from checkpoint to checkpoint or from Airport Terminal Buildings to Non-Passenger Vehicle Screening

·       Coordinate with Field Managers and Portfolio Resource Coordinators to schedule Screening Officers for same-day and next-day hours, including overtime

·       You will report to and advise the Director of Operations on how to improve operations consistency, effectiveness, and efficiency

·       Managing Tardiness and Absenteeism for Screening Officers with support from People & Culture Department

·       Manage all contractor-led training responsibilities, including On-The-Job, Return-to-Work, and RLP Training, including downtime training in coordination with Paladin Duty Managers and Manager, Training and Development

·       Approve and account for non-billable Screening Officer time (i.e. Disciplinary Interventions for Performance Issues or Union Participation)

·       Travel is required for this role

 

What you bring to PASS: 

·       Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident

·       Be able to obtain your Transport Security Clearance from Transport Canada

·       No un-pardoned criminal record

·       Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, business administration or a related field

·       3+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in aviation security

·       Understand aviation regulations, safety standards, and operational practices

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely

·       Strong leadership skills to motivate teams and drive results

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications used for reporting and data analysis 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve common objectives 
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
  • Ability to travel across the region as required
