About the role
We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join our team at NP Aerospace in Coventry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on leader to oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of all IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring the secure and efficient delivery of technology services across the business.
You will manage and coach a team of IT professionals, lead infrastructure projects, and work closely with the Senior IT Manager to align technology strategy with organisational goals. If you are passionate about IT, leadership, and driving continuous improvement, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you’ll get in return
What you’ll be doing
As IT Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for ensuring our IT systems run smoothly and securely every day. You’ll lead and coach a small but capable IT team, supporting everything from desktops and laptops to complex server infrastructure, networking, and storage.
You’ll take ownership of infrastructure upgrades, system administration, and vendor management, while making sure our licensing, backups, and patch management are always up to standard. With a strong focus on cyber security, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accreditations such as CE+, CMMC, and Secure by Design, ensuring NP Aerospace meets the highest levels of compliance and resilience.
Alongside the Senior IT Manager, you’ll help shape IT strategy, monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement, and ensure systems comply with GDPR and regulatory requirements. From managing ERP (QAD), Office 365, and Teams telephony to supporting risk management and incident response, this is a role where no two days are the same.
What we’re looking for
Proven experience in an IT Manager or similar leadership role
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP
Hands-on expertise with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), VMware, and SANs
Solid networking knowledge, including switching, routing, VLANs, and cabling
Experience managing IT functions, staff, and vendor relationships
Skills in Office 365 administration, PowerShell scripting, and cyber security compliance
UK Government SC Clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
It would be a bonus if you also have experience with ERP systems (ideally QAD), Veeam Backup & Replication, VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter, HP Aruba switches, or SQL.
