HR Business Partner - Aerospace Sector (CIPD Level 7)
Location: Portsmouth, UK (full time on-site)
Working Pattern: 9 day fortnight (every other Friday is a non working day)
Salary: DOE  
Benefits: Generous pension, 9 day working fortnight, 25 days holidays + BH + more

 

The Company:

My client is an Aerospace organisation involved in the design, manufacturing, certification, and services for mission-critical equipment. 

They support both civil and military operators, working closely with OEM's and maintenance facilities. This is an organisation who has been established for 50 years, a global leader in mission-critical equipment, operating in over 120 countries.

 

The Role:

The Site HR Manager will act as the strategic and operational people partner, and will be accountable for delivering HR processes, compliance, and business partnering to ensure the site meets both legal and operational requirements. This role combines hands-on HR management with strategic alignment, ensuring employee engagement, compliance, and workforce efficiency.

 

Your role will report into the HR Director and will have ownership for the facility in Portsmouth. Your day-to-day role will involve close interaction and support to the Site Director and the Senior Leadership Team. This is a key role within the business and an opportunity to have true ownership within a thriving and growing business. 

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification (or working towards).
  • Proven experience in a senior HR generalist/HR Manager role within a manufacturing or operational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, GDPR, and HR best practice.
  • Experience with HRIS, payroll, and T&A systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations cases.
  • Track record of effective business partnering with senior management.
