We are currently searching for an experienced Goods in/Despatch operative with experience in a manufacturing environment. As a GI/Despatch Operator you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of the facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and that customers receive their orders on time.

About Us

Brookhouse Aerospace produces a range of composite structures, producing monolithic and sandwich parts from a range of materials, including carbon fibre composite, glass and Aramid cured by autoclave. Brookhouse Aerospace also manufactures sheet metal fabrications and machined metal parts, fully supply kits and integrated assemblies. Specialist capabilities include a full range of surface treatments and dedicated Spares and Repairs capability.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Provide an efficient and courteous first point of contact for all delivery personnel, third party couriers and customer collection vehicles.
  • Unload vehicles and receive purchased, subcontract and customer own products in a safe manner whilst guaranteeing the product is handled appropriately.
  • Confirm goods received meet the purchasing specification/requirements including documentary inspection (e.g. Certificates of Conformity).
  • Ensure that goods received are identified accurately and that they are recorded in the Company’s stock system (ERP).
  • To deliver goods received efficiently to the relevant departments throughout the company.
  • To ensure the goods in/holding area is kept safe, secure, clean and organised and where applicable in line with company ‘best practice’.
  • Alert departments upon receipt of urgent supplies or reagent deliveries, especially when they need to be refrigerated upon receipt.
  • As directed securely package and identify goods for shipment to customers.
  • Undertake transactions to generate the necessary packing lists, shipment paperwork and/or invoices for goods out.
  • Follow the defined processes to ensure the effective Health, Safety and Environmental best practices as defined by the Brookhouse Aerospace HSE Management System.

The Candidate:

  • Must hold a valid UK driving license
  • Well organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Computer literate and able to use MS Office applications
  • Ability to work using own initiative
  • Using an MRP/ERP system
  • Attention to detail 
  • Analytical and displays good judgement
