About this Position
As Field
Application Engineer, you will interface regularly with the necessary
operational levels of the Aerospace organization and with the relevant
Materials & Process, Quality and Manufacturing groups of Aerospace
customers in EMEA.
In this
role, you will support market launches of new products and strengthen the
existing Henkel product portfolio for Surface Treatment technologies and help
to identify and define product and sales development opportunities. This
includes a continuous assessment of the market. You will coordinate
qualification test programs, followed by the qualification processes at
customers.
You
are one of the technical focal points in the Henkel Aerospace EMEA organization
and communication with and assistance of all relevant stakeholders is part of
your responsibility. As Field Application Engineer you can expect furthermore
to be involved in trouble shooting activities as well as root cause analysis.
You will witness and give guidance in terms of customer driven campaigns. Technical
presentations and trainings complete the profile of a Field Application
Engineer.
What you´ll do
- Identifying trends and providing regional market information to global counterparts, including competition survey
- Providing expert support regionally in Functional Coatings, chemical applications and processing
- Liaising between sales, marketing, product development and the customer to identify customer application solutions
- Organizing training for regional sales teams and customers on products and technologies
- Providing common tools for line audits and state-of-the-art customer visits
- Implementing strategic long-term solutions for market-wide product complaints
What makes you a good fit
- University degree in engineering, inorganic / electrochemical chemistry or material science
- Excellent knowledge of Aerospace relevant surface processes and technologies and their related products
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the area of technical customer service
- Good conceptual thinker and excellent communicator with sense of ownership and initiative
- Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40% of the time)
- Fluent in French and English
