We're Hiring: Electronic Design Engineer – Autopilot & Edge Perception Hardware
Full time | Core team
LAT Aerospace | Perception & Autonomy
At LAT Aerospace, we’re building India’s first clean-sheet hybrid-electric STOL aircraft and a next-generation autonomy stack powering aircraft for complex missions. Our team is kicking off a new chapter — developing the full flight-control, obstacle-avoidance, GNSS-denied navigation, and swarm-coordination layers that will define LAT’s autonomy architecture.
We’re hiring two Electronic Design Engineers who will design the core electronics that run LAT’s autonomy stack:
Autopilot & flight-control hardware
Edge perception compute modules for real-time vision + sensor fusion
This team owns the full lifecycle — architecture, schematic design, PCB layout, bring-up, testing, and integration on real UAV platforms.
What you’ll do
Design next-generation autopilot hardware, including sensor interfaces, MCU/SoC architectures, power conditioning, redundancy, and safety-critical pathways.
Develop edge perception compute hardware for onboard SLAM, vision, and multi-sensor fusion — balancing compute, thermal, and form-factor constraints.
Create schematics, PCB layouts (4–12 layer) and review boards for manufacturability, noise immunity, and aerospace reliability.
Select and integrate IMUs, compasses, barometers, GNSS modules, high-speed interfaces, and sensor conditioning circuits.
Design high-speed digital, mixed-signal, and low-noise analog circuits for flight and perception systems.
Own bring-up, debugging, and validation of avionics and compute boards using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, and test jigs.
Work closely with the Embedded Software, GNC, Perception, and Autonomy teams to ensure hardware supports real-time compute, sensor fusion, and control requirements.
Ensure thermal, EMI/EMC, vibration, and power integrity compliance for UAV integration.
Support manufacturing, testing, and reliability qualification for flight-ready hardware.
What we're looking for
Strong experience in electronic circuit design, mixed-signal systems, and PCB development.
Comfortable with MCUs, SoCs, FPGAs, sensor interfaces, and high-speed digital design.
Hands-on experience with Altium, KiCad, or similar EDA tools.
Deep understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, grounding, EMI/EMC, and thermal constraints.
Experience designing robust boards for robotics, drones, automotive, aerospace, or industrial systems.
Ability to design and debug power supplies, DC-DC converters, regulators, and battery interfaces.
Strong hardware bring-up skills using lab equipment.
Ability to rigorously document designs and create repeatable hardware workflows.
Why LAT?
Core-team role building the autonomy brain of India’s most ambitious aerospace startup.
Ownership, speed, and the opportunity to define a new class of systems from scratch.
