Tower Semiconductor is a global specialty foundry leader! We specialize in manufacturing analog integrated circuits for more than 300 customers worldwide in growing markets such as automotive, medical, industrial, consumer and aerospace and defense, among others.
• Responsible for electrical performance of specialty process technologies used in the manufacture of semiconductors, specifically RF SOI technologies. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria. Typical responsibilities include device testing, yield analysis, process and device simulation, and experiment lot analysis.
• Responsible to drive activities to improve performance, quality, and reliability of Tower’s process technologies. Work according to the customer requirements, meeting both Operations targets and the strategic needs defined by the Business Units.
• Management of existing WIP in production, supporting lot disposition through data analysis to guarantee the cycle time target.
• Provide feedback and directions to the fab to increase manufacturing efficiency, process performance and product yield.
• Proactive analytical investigations of root cause and yield detractors for electrical process monitors and customer products in Tower’s production technology platforms
• Support projects related to cost reduction programs allowing the company to be competitive in the semiconductor market.
• Share expertise of the group, promoting best practices among different organizations and sites, taking advantage of Lean principles based on the approach of simplification and standardization.
• Support customer engineering for various customer requests as well as communicate directly with customers as needed.
• Define process experiments and manage development and engineering wafers-in-process.
• Analyze parametric results and characterize devices using DC techniques.
• Collaborate with global technical teams to carry out technical activities related to device performance, quality, and reliability in support of production and customer requirements.
• You can analyze parametric results and characterize devices using DC and RF techniques.
• You can support customer engineering on various customer requests as well as communicate directly with customers as needed.
• You can support transfer of newly developed processes to production.
• You can lead or coordinate projects to minimize defects, improve process control, reduce rework, study process window for new devices, qualify new tools, evaluate new consumables and develop new processes for better performance and lower cost
• You can lead or participate in intra- or inter-departmental efforts to manage process crises: containing damage, investigating and identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive action
• PhD preferred, Masters or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics.
• Business fluent English required
• Strong understanding of device physics, process integration, and characterization of silicon technologies
• Experience with RF-CMOS and SOI technologies is preferred.
• Experience with DC characterization is a plus.
• Experience with data analysis tools (JMP, Klarity ACE) is a plus
• Position requires very strong analytical and people skills.
• Use of multi-disciplinary approaches to problem solving.
• Experience working with a semiconductor fab and fab environment is a plus
