Overview

As part of our continued support to one of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers, we are looking for a number of Aerospace Design Engineers to join our growing team in Bristol.

 

The role will involve being responsible for formulating technical solutions for a range of tasks ensuring that design standards and customer requirements are met within your design.

Responsibilities

  • Draft CI contents assumption via PSCN, PSR2 doc, SOIs and ect. 
  • List all pre-mod part numbers from DPDS
  • Compare drawing differences between different ST variants and decide number of DS/DDS required
  • Compare with DS-DDS numbering document and propose add/delete/rename DS/DDS
  • List mod history for this CI from DPDS
  • Review the CIN stacks in Requirement Generator file and mod history to decide whether a mod is to be kept, deleted, or added. (among ~800 mods)
  • Record all actions and rework tasks (such as add mod, delete a mod, add DS, and so on) 
  • Update CM Analysis file to ensure proper mods & CIs are linked. 
  • Query with stakeholders (principle engineers, senior engineers, BRO MEs, suppliers, FAL MEs, DTLs) regarding CI contents, add CI or delete CIs, rename CIs, add or delete DS-DDS, reorganize DDS-CIs, mod effectivities, requirement generator file updates, and so on.

Essential skills

  • Good Communication
  • Knowledge of aerospace or previous experience.
  • Experience with working with stakeholders, lead engineers, chief engineers and project managers.
    • CAD Package: Catia V5
      • SA Lean PLM & PASS SSI for Designer/GL/DMU
      • CATIA V5-Advanced Assemblies Design
      • CATIA V5-Advanced Part Design
      • CATIA V5-Drafting

Experience

  • Preferred or suitable on the job client experience
