The Crew & Training Planner role at Zimex Aviation offers a dynamic opportunity for a motivated and hands-on professional in the aviation industry. As a key member of the Crew Planning Unit, you will be directly involved in the development, optimization, and execution of crew schedules and training plans. This role is ideal for someone with practical experience in crew planning, a strong sense of responsibility, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced operational environment. Formal education is not required - what matters most is your motivation, reliability, and ability to contribute to a high-performing team.
This position is also available as a job-sharing opportunity, offering flexibility for candidates seeking part-time work while contributing meaningfully to the team.
Your main tasks
- Develop and maintain crew schedules that meet operational and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate and track training programs across departments, ensuring timely completion and compliance
- Monitor crew rosters for legal limitations and swiftly resolve any scheduling conflicts
- Maintain accurate records of crew assignments, training participation, and certifications
- Analyse planning and training data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Communicate effectively with crew members, internal teams, and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports and documentation for performance tracking and compliance audits
- Support the implementation of new planning tools and processes
Your qualifications
- Experience in crew planning, aviation operations, or similar scheduling roles is an advantage, but not required
- Strong motivation, reliability, and a willingness to learn are essential
- Basic understanding of aviation regulations (e.g., EASA FTL, Subpart Q) or interest in acquiring this knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling software (e.g. CBL, Leon) and LMS is a plus
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written); German and French are a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Flexible and hands-on approach to daily tasks
