Job Description:
As a Bid Manager & Technical Sales Support, you will own and lead the entire bid project lifecycle, from initial opportunity identification to contract signature. You'll be responsible for preparing and submitting compelling bids that align with customer expectations and company standards. Additionally, you will work closely with Key Account Managers to define sales strategies, promote our product portfolio, and highlight the unique value of our services against top competitors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Bid Management
Lead the Bid Process: Manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all internal activities, gate reviews, and external milestones are completed on time and to a high standard.
Define Bid Strategy: Collaborate with Sales, Product Line, Operations, and regional bid leadership to develop attractive offers that meet customer expectations and address their specific needs.
Stakeholder Coordination: Effectively manage internal stakeholders, coordinating inputs from Sales, Engineering, Product Line, Procurement, Finance, Legal & Compliance, and Quality teams.
Review Management: Arrange and lead necessary review meetings throughout the bid lifecycle.
Financial Oversight: Ensure adherence to profitability and cash-related internal rules, applying appropriate processes in case of deviations.
Risk Analysis: Analyze potential risks to understand financial exposure and develop effective response strategies.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Technical Sales Support
Requirement Gathering: Collect and thoroughly understand customer and end-user requirements.
Product Promotion: Promote the product portfolio of Airbus Defence and Space Public Safety and Security (ADS PSS), emphasizing the unique value and benefits of our customer services against top competitor offerings.
Solution Presentation: Provide customers with solution options through technical whitepapers, presentations, and workshops. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase ADS PSS solutions' assets and operational benefits.
RFP Shaping: Influence and shape upcoming Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to align with PSS portfolio assets, Unique Selling Points (USPs), and service capabilities.
Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company
Requirements:
Tertiary Education in Engineering, Information Technology or relevant field
At least 5 years of working experiences in Bid Management or Technical sales support
Customer Centricity: Strong understanding of customer expectations and needs
Core Skills: Bid Management, Leadership, Creativity, Adaptability
Proposal Development: Proven ability to develop compelling and approved proposals
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with Telecommunication/IT systems and public safety products and solutions
Knowledge of Southeast Asian cultures to be able to liaise effectively with stakeholders across the region
Certifications: Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP) certification is a plus.
Has a strong business, technical, analytical, problem solving and verbal and written communication skills
Strategic & Influential: Ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies, develop overall strategies, and interact with and influence diverse stakeholders
Ethical Conduct: Strong commitment to ethics and compliance
