Company Overview

Metrea delivers effects-as-a-service to national security partners across five domains and more than a dozen mission areas - including airborne ISR, electronic warfare, secure communications, aerial refueling, special mission aviation, aerial firefighting, and advanced simulation.

Wherever we operate, we build vertically integrated full stacks of capability - designing, building, and operating turnkey solutions that let customers scale capacity while benefiting from continuous cycles of innovation. With operators and engineers under one roof, we close the gap between lab and field - what we call connecting design with effect.

Metrea’s solutions are built for elegance: effective, efficient, and evolving. This approach enables our partners to do more with less and achieve outsized, asymmetric advantage against rapidly evolving threats.

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Metrea has facilities across the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, and beyond.

Position Summary

At Metrea, we don’t just hire pilots - we recruit world-class Aviators, Flight Ops leaders, senior operators, and specialists in Tech, Safety, and Training who enable mission-critical effects worldwide.

Our Air Domain spans Airborne ISR, Aerial Firefighting, Air-to-Air Refueling, Advanced Training, Aircraft Engineering, and more - operating across FAA, EASA, and CASA regulatory environments.

We’re building a dedicated aviation recruitment team across the US, UK, EU, and APAC. As our UK/EU Aviation Recruiter, you’ll be the storyteller and strategist shaping pipelines of pilots, sensor operators, and technicians - spotting top talent and inspiring them to join a mission that impacts global security.

This is your chance to design an aviation recruiting program from the ground up. If you thrive on creativity, strategy, and building with purpose, we want to hear from you.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Recruiting Strategy & Execution: Drive the full recruiting process including sourcing, engaging, interviewing, evaluating and offer negotiation.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: build deep relationships with all the aviation groups at Metrea. Consulting with hiring managers and business leaders while eagerly learning the business and educating on best practices of talent attraction.
  • Tenacious Sourcing & Pipelining: Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality candidates, with a primary focus on Air domain roles and a demonstrated ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences.
  • Deliver World Class Candidate Experience: Engage and nurture relationships with candidates and prospects using empathy and transparency, ensuring they’re aligned with Metrea’s mission and values.
  • Market Expertise: Conduct thorough market research to identify key talent pools and stay updated on industry trends that impact sourcing strategies.
  • Tools & Technology: Maintain accuracy within ATS/recruiting tools and effectively leverage these tools to deliver results.

Skills and Experience

  • Rooted in Humility: You value the universal over the personal. Maximizing what you know, skeptically filtering what you believe you know, and further limiting what you project to know.
  • Proven Experience: Previous experience in aviation, aerospace, or defense recruitment or parallel military experience. You know the difference between EASA and CASA (and FAA is a plus!)
  • Sourcing Expertise: Ability to learn and leverage sourcing tools, techniques, and platforms to identify and attract top talent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust, credibility, and influence stakeholders and candidates alike.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of domain-specific talent markets, including key talent pools and industry trends.
  • Detail-Oriented, Systematic approach: Strong attention to detail with a process-driven approach to sourcing and candidate management.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced complex environment, collaborating with multiple stakeholders across different teams and time zones.

Our Firmware

Metrea’s single core value, “rooted in humility,” is supported by four key attributes: entrepreneurial, systematic, discerning, and over-deliver. These attributes, combined, form our Teammate Firmware, our culture. We explore these attributes during the hiring process when we grow our teams and continually support the growth of our culture. We are a hyper-collaborative, dynamically hierarchical organization united by a passion for what we do, how we do it, who we do it with, and who we do it for.
