Job Title: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Apprentice 

Job Summary:

Western Community College (WCC) is a growing Flight Training Unit at Abbotsford International Airport, and our MRO shop is also based at the same facility, with a focus on Cessna 172  maintenance & overhaul. At WCC, you will gain deep experience working alongside professionals.
The Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice will work under the supervision of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (PRM) to safely and efficiently maintain and overhaul the WCC & customer fleet.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work assigned in accordance with the instructions and procedures described in Transport Canada-approved Maintenance Manuals.
  • Report any defect that is noted in the course of performing maintenance.
  • Care and custody of tooling and publications associated with the maintenance function.
  • Carry out aerospace, avionics and furnishings related duties as assigned by the AME (PRM).
  • Responsible for accurately accounting for all maintenance tasks completed by updating the logbook.
  • Ensure work area is kept clean and safe.


Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Transport Canada-approved Aircraft Maintenance course.
  • Must display adequate knowledge and understanding of the AME (PRM) for the responsibilities associated with the position.
  • At least 3 years of work experience with an approved AMO.


Must meet all conditions of employment:

  • A criminal background check.
  • Must follow WCC policy and procedures, including the Alcohol and drug-free policy.


Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,00.00-$60,000.00 per year based on experience.
