Job Description:
Our geospatial mapping department, with more than 30 years of experience and a great reputation in the sector, needs to incorporate editing and digitalization operators in Geographic Information Systems GIS (GIS) environments, for the generation, updating and adaptation of cartographic databases in 2D and/or 3D.
Starting from satellite or aerial images, we generate different types of vector cartography products, including urban topographic maps, regional or national coverage, aeronautical cartography, intelligence and security, etc.
Activities:
• Assimilation of the different specific data models for each project.
• Digital edition of vector cartography in Esri's ArcMap GIS environment, using the tools that Airbus has developed internally for such tasks (Vector Factory).
• Quality control of vector geo-information with Airbus own tools (QC Inspector and QC Sampler).
• Self-assignment of tasks and report of progress and incidents, through the process management tool designed for said functions.
Technical qualification required for the position:
• Degree in Geography or higher level training cycle in Building and Civil Works, Environment or another related to geo-information.
Essential requirements:
• Experience in digitalization on satellite or aerial images.
• Experience in editing processes and quality control of vector cartography in GIS environments (preferably ArcMap)
• Eager to learn and develop

•Capacity for teamwork
• Sociability and ease of relationship
•Computing:
o User level knowledge of ArcMap for working in 2D and 3D
o User-level knowledge of the Microsoft Office office suite
• Languages: English and Spanish professional levels
