Working Student - Avionics, Guidance, Navigation & Control (m/f/d)

This role involves designing mechanical components and electrical harness systems from concept to production. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to ensure technical quality and manufacturability. Strong CAD skills, problem-solving, and clear communication are essential. Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

• Design mechanical components of avionics units, harness support elements and others with the use of 3D CAD software
• Support mechanical design tasks through research of topics, stress/vibration/thermal simulations, etc.
• Create the necessary documentation for units/harness integration and quality checks, such as working instruction and quality checkouts
• Support harness 3D design tasks with the use of CAD software
• Support harness integration tasks on the vehicle, for example solving of non-conformances or checking implementation against 3D design files

Qualification Checklist 

• Currently enrolled at university in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
• First (University) experience in mechanical design, from concept to production
• Experience in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach to challenges
• Strong sense of ownership and attention to detail, with the ability to deliver high-quality work independently and reliably
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

Bonus Skills

• First (University) experience in mechanical harness design in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, or similar) 
• First (University) experience in electrical harness design in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical, Capital, or similar)
