Technology Coordinator - 6 Month FTC

We’re looking for an energetic and proactive Managed Services Technology Coordinator to join our team at Birmingham Airport. In this hands-on role, you’ll be the go-to person for all on-site technology needs – from troubleshooting IT equipment and maintaining networks to delivering projects that improve operational efficiency.

Please note that this role is a FTC for an initial 6 months. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing on-site technology support at Birmingham Airport.
• Tackling a priority list of technical challenges faced by our airport car park operations team.
• Supporting local IT accounts, devices, and network hardware, including Cisco routers and Meraki switches.
• Maintaining and updating asset logs for all IT equipment.
• Installing and supporting hardware, software, and system updates (e.g. CCTV, printers, scanners, digital signage).
• Collaborating with our Technology Service Desk, contractors, and suppliers to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
• Ensuring infrastructure is secure, reliable, and fit for purpose.
• Proactively identifying technology improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Providing occasional out-of-hours support for critical issues.

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT/Technology services.
• Strong background in networks and infrastructure, including Cisco, Meraki, and Wi-Fi.
• Experience with CCTV hardware/software, and diagnosing hardware/software issues.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently at pace.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• A proactive, solution-focused mindset – you don’t take “no” for an answer when finding ways to improve.
