Explore your next role:

As a key member of the Heavy Maintenance team, the Technical Support Specialist will handle all incoming request forms by updating and maintaining detailed records in the company database. Categorize and research aircraft configurations, collaborating with stakeholders to gather accurate technical data. Review vendor documentation to identify suitable solutions.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide technical solutions for in-service and heavy maintenance issues affecting aircraft safety, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Research OEM/vendor products and offer technical support using established data.
  • Advise Maintenance Technicians on the interpretation and execution of technical instructions.
  • Compile and deliver data packages post-STC/LSTC incorporation.
  • Understand aircraft systems or coordinate with appropriate entities to resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate problems and solutions clearly to customers and stakeholders.
  • Respond promptly to support requests to maintain customer schedules and fleet utilization.
  • Develop technical documents such as Technical Memos and Operating Instructions by interpreting and applying existing data.
  • Prepare and submit damage reports to OEMs for efficient and cost-effective resolutions.
  • Apply knowledge of Canadian and international aviation regulations to technical tasks.
  • Provide AOG support onsite or remotely to restore aircraft operation quickly.
  • Identify alternate parts/materials through analysis or OEM coordination.
  • Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing with vendors to support budget adherence.
  • Prepare and issue invoices for technical support services.
  • Represent the company during third-party maintenance/modification validations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpretation of aircraft systems, maintenance processes, and engineering documentation.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to new aircraft systems and components.
  • Create documentation using MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Exhibit strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Work independently at remote locations when required.
  • Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Handle customer interactions effectively under pressure.
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors and OEMs.
  • Show strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Understand AMO roles and responsibilities.
  • Act with awareness of costing and invoicing strategies to benefit the company financially.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Completion of a technical diploma or degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technician Training from a recognized college is required.
  • A valid Transport Canada AME license (M, S, or E rating) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt, solve problems, suggest improvements, and support change implementation.
  • Self-motivated with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
