Senior Financial Analyst (Integrated Supply Chain - Aerospace)

 

We have an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Basingstoke repair and overhaul site, where you will develop a business partnership with the site leadership to improve product margins through constant review and analysis of potential cost reduction initiatives covering the repair and overhaul environment.

 

In addition, you will work to achieve alignment across site functions including Integrated Supply Chain, HR and the Business in the achievement of targets and goals. You will provide data and analyses that will assist in the effort to reduce inventory, improve turnaround time, and labour efficiency.

 

This role is 100% onsite at the Basingstoke site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the site leadership team to deliver the annual operating plan and forecasts.
  • Lead weekly site delivery reviews (open backlog, shipment plan, receipts forecasts).
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting on key financial information (OEF, indirect spend, freight) and provide variance explanations.
  • Prepare factory productivity reporting, lead cost centre spend reviews and hold owners accountable for productivity projects.
  • Analyse variances between forecast and actual results for revenue and repair costs
  • Undertake regular review of the site cost structure including updates to cost and pricing rates used by the business.
  • To assist in the annual standard cost revision exercise, inventory revaluation and standard maintenance. 
  • To provide relevant information necessary to support the site SRO and SIOP processes.
  • Develop standard work and SOPs relevant to the role.

 

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Finance systems skills (Tableau, AMR, SAP, Powerpoint, Excel, other).
  • Finance / accounting background with cost accounting experience.
  • Proven experience and financial skills in analysis, planning, forecasting and accounting.
  • Strong English written communication and presentation skills covering both document preparation and verbal presentation.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with creative mindset.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across business functions both locally and regionally.
  • Experience with process standardization and standard work procedures. 
  • Ability to prepare and present seemingly complex data in a simple and understandable manner.
