We’re seeking a skilled Senior Craft Fitter to join our highly experienced team at RNAD Coulport, supporting critical maintenance and operational activities across our Service Units and Surface Support Equipment (SSE).
This is a hands-on, technically challenging role within a unique and high-integrity environment — ideal for an experienced Mechanical or Electrical professional who takes pride in precision, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on Service Units, including NDT and Air Conditioning/Refrigerant systems, and associated SSE.
- Conduct corrective maintenance on defective flight hardware in line with NSI-approved documentation.
- Implement equipment modifications following approved modification packages.
- Deliver operational support during SWS (Strategic Weapons System) related activities.
- Support training programmes and carry out Building User checks.
- Carry out RBMTV maintenance and A Frame Hoist Testing as required.
- Attend mandatory facility and Weapon System training sessions.

- Completed apprenticeship, ONC, HNC, or higher qualification in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience as a Technician, Engineer, Inspector, or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of documentation compliance within a prescriptive, safety-critical environment.
- Committed to maintaining and promoting a strong Health & Safety culture.
- Demonstrates initiative, ownership, and a problem-solving approach.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a questioning, proactive attitude.
