About the role<\/b>
<\/p>

This role is both hands -on<\/b> and strategic<\/b>: you will design hardware solutions for extreme environments, and mentor and elevate our existing hardware engineers. We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to lead and drive the architecture, design, and implementation of hardware systems for our robotics/flight systems.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping how our hardware platform is designed, developed and tested, ensuring reliability from board -bring -up to mission execution, and driving best practices in system design, hardware resilience, manufacturability across the product lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities<\/b>
<\/h2>

1) System Architecture & Hardware Design<\/b>
<\/h3>
  • Architect robust, scalable embedded hardware systems<\/b> spanning sensing, computation, power management, actuation, and wireless communication subsystems.
    <\/li>
  • Define hardware module boundaries<\/b>, interfaces, electrical specifications, and interaction contracts between boards and subsystems.
    <\/li>
  • Perform design trade -off analysis<\/b> (performance, cost, power, reliability, EMI/EMC, manufacturability).
    <\/li>
  • Own system -level schematics, block diagrams, and interface definitions<\/b>, and ensure alignment with firmware, controls, and mechanical teams.
    <\/li>
  • Build hardware architectures that scale across product variants and future revisions.

    2) Hands -On Hardware Development<\/b>
    <\/h3>
    • Design and bring up custom PCBs<\/b> (MCU/SoC -based boards, sensor boards, power boards, actuator drivers).
      <\/li>
    • Develop schematics and layouts involving:
      • Digital interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet
        <\/li>
      • Analog front ends: I<\/b>MUs, barometers, ADCs/DACs, power sensing
        <\/li>
      • Power systems: DC -DC converters, LDOs, battery management, protection circuits
        <\/li>
      • Wireless systems: GPS SoC Integration, Phased array antenna design, RF based telemetry system integration
        <\/li>
      • High -reliability connectors, ESD/EMI protection, and isolation where required
        <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
      • Take boards from concept to bring -up<\/b>:
        • Requirement capture to understand what is needed from the hardware
          <\/li>
        • Design, analyze, simulate complex designs, and perform DFx checks
          <\/li>
        • Power sequencing, clocking, reset behaviour, boot configuration
          <\/li>
        • Debug board issues using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
          <\/li>
        • Validate signal integrity, power integrity, and timing margins
          <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
        • Support firmware teams during early bring -up with register -level debug, pin -muxing, and interface validation<\/b>.

          3) System -Level Validation & Reliability<\/b>
          <\/h3>
          • Define and execute hardware validation and verification plans<\/b>:
            • Electrical characterization
              <\/li>
            • Environmental, thermal, vibration, and stress testing
              <\/li>
            • EMI/EMC pre -compliance testing
              <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
            • Establish manufacturing and test strategies:
              • DFT/DFM considerations
                <\/li>
              • Board -level test points, boundary scan, and production test fixtures
                <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
              • Own failure analysis, root -cause investigations, and corrective actions from lab through field deployments.
                <\/li>
              • Maintain comprehensive documentation: schematics, layout guidelines, test reports, BOMs, and revision histories.

                4) Cross -Functional Collaboration<\/b>
                <\/h3>
                • Lead hardware design reviews<\/b>, roadmap planning, and technical risk assessments.
                  <\/li>
                • Work closely with:
                  • Firmware teams<\/b> for bring -up, interface validation, and performance tuning
                    <\/li>
                  • Controls and systems teams<\/b> to ensure sensors, compute, and actuation meet algorithmic requirements
                    <\/li>
                  • Mechanical teams<\/b> for enclosure constraints, thermal design, connectors, and vibration robustness
                    <\/li>
                  • Manufacturing and operations teams<\/b> for supplier selection, cost optimization, and scale -up
                    <\/li><\/ul><\/li>
                  • Interface with external vendors and silicon partners<\/b> for MCUs, sensors, RF modules, power components, and manufacturing houses.
                    <\/li>
                  • Mentor junior and mid -level hardware engineers in schematic design, layout best practices, debugging, and validation discipline<\/b>.
                    <\/li><\/ul>

                    Required Qualifications<\/b>
                    <\/h2>
                    • 6+ years<\/b> of professional hardware engineering experience with a strong hands -on track record.
                      <\/li>
                    • Experience designing hardware for robotics, drones, flight control systems, or high -reliability embedded platforms<\/b>.
                      <\/li>
                    • Natural mentorship, and the ability to work with existing junior hardware design engineers.
                      <\/li>
                    • Strong background in sensor integration<\/b>, power electronics, and mixed -signal design.
                      <\/li>
                    • Proven experience taking custom hardware from first prototype through production<\/b>.
                      <\/li>
                    • Familiarity with safety -critical or regulated environments<\/b> (e.g., aerospace, automotive, defense).
                      <\/li>
                    • Knowledge of relevant standards such as IPC, EMI/EMC standards, DO -254, ISO 26262, or STANAG<\/b> is a strong plus.
                      <\/li>
                    • Natural mentor with strong communication skills and ability to align cross -functional teams.
