About the role

The AI team at Agile Robots is seeking experienced Senior AI/DL Engineers with a proven track record in building, training, and deploying large-scale AI models. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in foundational models (LLMs, VLMs, VLAs) and demonstrated success in applying these technologies in Industrial or Research settings.

Your Responsibilities
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to translate functional and business requirements into scalable architectures and deployable solutions.
  • Ownership: Take technical ownership of the design, development, and deployment of Robot Learning approaches using Foundation Models.
  • Policy Design: Design and implement robot policies that are vision- and/or language-conditioned.
  • Training: Drive large-scale training and fine-tuning of deep learning models for robot learning in complex, real-world environments.
  • Integration: Evaluate and integrate developed solutions and algorithms, bringing them into production-ready systems.
  • Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in robotics, deep learning, and computer vision.
  • Travel: Periodically travel to partners in the US, Europe, or Asia.
Essential Skills
  • Education: Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, AI, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in AI, Deep Learning, or Robotics AI, with hands-on model development and deployment.
  • Learning Methods: Practical experience with Imitation Learning (e.g., behavior cloning, decision transformers, diffusion policies) and Transformer architectures (e.g., GPT-3/4, BERT, T5, Flamingo, VILA, etc.).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python ML stack (PyTorch/TensorFlow, data analysis/visualization tools).
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong background in computer vision, NLP, and multimodal learning applied to robotics.
  • Prototyping & Delivery: Ability to rapidly prototype, debug, and iterate solutions; track record of research or applied outputs (publications, patents, or deployed products).
Beneficial Skills
  • Distributed Training: Experience with large-scale GPU clusters and scheduling frameworks (e.g., Slurm, Kubernetes).
  • Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of cloud ML services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Interpretability: Familiarity with explainable AI and model interpretability in multimodal systems.
  • Deployment: Experience integrating world models with imitation learning for long-horizon robot policies; strong software engineering skills with Git, Docker, APIs, and containerization.
