Location: RAAF Base East Sale, you will be required to work on site

As the Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading, shaping, and driving the future of pilot training systems for the next generation of aviators.

Your primary responsibilities:

Lead the AIR5428 Program Management Office (PgMO) development and task execution from initiation to completion, ensuring accountability for cost, schedule, and technical performance:

  • Oversee PgMO performance, emphasizing customer responsiveness.

  • Conduct program reviews and reporting.

  • Develop and maintain project artifacts (work breakdown structures, schedules, resource profiles, project management plans, and program-specific processes).

  • Monitor milestones and adherence to master plans and schedules.

  • Identify task issues, propose solutions via stakeholder consultation, and allocate necessary resources.

  • Foster strategic planning and innovation to achieve capability outcomes or adapt to evolving contractual needs.

  • Cultivate professional relationships with Lockheed Martin management, employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers.

About you:
Lockheed Martin is seeking a driven, experienced, and visionary Project Manager to take lead in the development of the AIR5428 program management office and transition task activities.

To be successful you will ideally have experience in:

  • Proven experience managing and delivering projects

  • Experience in managing and leading teams

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or relevant discipline

  • Defence Industry experience or experience in civil aviation
