What you will be doing

The Programme Manager – Aerospace Procurement is responsible for the planning, delegation, monitoring, and control of all aspects of the programme, and the motivation of those involved, to achieve the business objectives / outcomes with the expected programme performance targets of schedule, cost, quality, scope, benefits, and risks.

You will be expected to own and lead a programme of supply chain change projects, typically source change or similar, in accordance with S9, APQP and PPAP. The programme will be executing the strategic direction of Aerospace Procurement, working very closely with Strategic/In-Contract Procurement, Engineering, and supply chain operational teams.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the successful delivery to cost, specification and time for a defined packages of work within the programme.

  • Secure and manage the provision of resources needed for the programme from internal and/or external providers.

  • Responsible for the creation and management of an integrated set of plans / schedules.

  • Develop and secure budgets for the programme and control the forecast and actual costs against the allocated budget.

  • Establish, develop, and maintain the documentation necessary to deliver the package(s) of work within the programme.

  • Act as the focal point and escalation route for all aspects related to the packages of work within the programme.

Who we’re looking for

  • Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience.

  • Ideally a member of a professional body or working to achieve appropriate level of qualification (region-specific).

  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management or equivalent industry experience. Experience of leading multi-functional teams would be an advantage.

  • Manage professional employees and/or supervisors.

  • Accountable for the performance and results of a team within own area of specialty.

  • Adapts the plans and priorities for their area to set the direction for their team with decisions and problem solving guided by policies, procedures, and the plan of their area.

  • Operates within defined standards and policies to address resource and operational challenges.

  • Leads others in a technical area with good knowledge of the discipline managed.

  • Operates autonomously receiving guidance from manager when the impact is either broader, outside their team, or the subject matter expert is more complex.
