Explore your next role:

The PME Airport Services Fueler directly reports to the Manager, Buildings, Ground Services, & Airport Services. The PME Airport Services is responsible to fuel aircraft & provide ground handling.

Aircraft Fueling

  • Perform over and underwing fueling of aircraft.
  • Order fuel, based on amount of flight schedules.
  • Conduct fuel tank and truck inspections.
  • Transfer fuel from farm to truck
  • Receive fuel shipments.
  • Assist Lead Hand with external audits.
  • Perform walk around daily to inspect equipment for safe use.
  • Support ad hoc customer requests.
  • Daily fuel quality testing
  • Additional equipment and Fuel maintenance varying frequency
  • Computer work for record keeping and entering sales .
  • Commercial airlines, nonscheduled private customers and World Fuel Services customers

Ground Handling Services

  • Inspection of equipment prior to use
  • Marshalling aircraft
  • Baggage handling
  • GPU service
  • Baggage/Cargo handling
  • Sanitation of overnight aircraft
  • Provide lavatory and catering services.
  • Provide wheelchair ramp and air stair services.
  • Overnight preparation and removal of aircraft kits.

Winter Services

  • De-ice aircraft.
  • Provide aircraft cabin heating services utilizing the Herman Nelson unit.
  • Snow removal around parked aircraft on Voyageur apron, fuel farm & hangar doors.
  • Daily glycol quality testing.
  • Filling De ice truck and inventory of Glycol.
  • Overnight aircraft plug and pylon for parked aircraft .

Lead Hand Responsibilities – In addition to those above

  • External Audit
  • Scheduling employee shifts
  • Ensure training is up to date.
  • Oversee work completed by Fuel Attendants.
  • Prioritize, coordinate, and delegate incoming task requests from customers, North Bay Airport, and Manager, Buildings, Ground Support & Airport Services.
  • Assist Fuel Attendants in completing tasks to meet appropriate deadlines.
  • Ensure completion of monthly inspections for safety equipment and facilities.
  • Complete log readings for billing purposes and customer requirements.
  • Liaise and coordinate with North Bay Airport and GSE crew to schedule required equipment servicing.
  • On-call duties require employee to carry a phone and complete/delegate tasks as needed.

Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success:

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Must hold a DZ License, Radio License, AVOP, and have successfully completed the Radio Test.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar or related role.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven organizational and planning abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Reliable, responsible, and self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to build and maintain positive working relationships, collaborate effectively with team members to achieve shared goals, and actively listen and respond appropriately to colleagues’ concerns.

Eligibility:

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
