Job Description:

Note: These are part-time Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting January 7th, 2026 and ending April 17th, 2026.

We require faculty qualified to teach across the following areas:

  • Aviation Technician – Maintenance
  • Aviation Technician – Avionics
  • Aviation Technician – Structures

A part-time Professor at Fanshawe College is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students.  Successful candidates will teach courses within the Norton Wolf School of Aviation and Aerospace Technology, and will be required to perform work on campus, as required.

Specific Qualifications

  • Licensed Aviation Technician: M, E or S – Maintenance, Avionics or Structures
  • Excellent communication, team building and leadership and computer skills are expected
  • Prior teaching experience in an academic setting is an asset

General Qualifications

  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
  • Teaching experience with face-to face and online delivery preferred
  • Related industry work experience, previous College or Apprenticeship teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
