Role Summary
Chevron is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Control Centre Officer to join a dynamic Operations Control Centre at East Midlands Airport. This critical role is responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of daily operational activities, flight readiness, and consistent communication with customers and internal airline departments.
You will play a key role in supporting the timely and compliant dispatch of all flights, responding to operational disruptions, and managing crew logistics and requirements in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate short-term crewing for all operated flights, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant aviation legislation.
• Ensure all flights are correctly crewed and ready for dispatch in line with operational schedules.
• Maintain regular communication with OCC staff and escalate crewing issues or solutions to the OCC Shift Supervisor.
• Support ad-hoc flight operations and manage disrupted flight schedules effectively.
• Ensure compliance of revised crew schedules and arrange or cancel travel and accommodation as needed.
• Conduct thorough handovers between shifts to maintain schedule integrity and crew management continuity.
• Track non-flying personnel onboard West Atlantic aircraft.
• Manage crew training records to prevent operational breaches and report any issues to relevant departments.
• Respond to crew enquiries, assist with logistics such as accommodation and transport, and update crew management systems daily.
• Perform administrative duties in line with regulatory and company standards.
• Uphold confidentiality, data protection, and professional conduct in all OCC operations.
• Assist the OCC Supervisor in managing the flight schedule, flight planning, and flight watch duties as required.
RequirementsAcademic/Educational Requirements
• Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ recent experience in aviation operations, preferably within an airline’s operations control or crew planning environment.
• Solid understanding of Flight Duty Period (FDP) Limitations and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency with aviation-specific systems including flight planning and operational control software.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail and numeracy.
• Proven team player with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
