Description

As an Operational Resilience Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert for shaping, strengthening, and delivering our resilience strategy. There will be opportunities to design and enhance robust plans, build and maintain a leading practice resilience frameworks. All with the purpose of ensuring that business functions are fully prepared to keep our airport running smoothly, no matter what incidents occur.

You will have the chance to collaborate closely with a diverse network of internal stakeholders, influencing decisions and embedding resilience into every part of our operation. There will be opportunities to drive alignment across teams, innovate processes, and ensure that every action we take leads to positive, reliable outcomes for the entire airport operation.

In this role, your expertise will directly shape the airport’s ability to ensure that we adapt, respond, and recover from any disruption.

This is a 15 month Fixed Term role, working Monday to Friday with hybrid working arrangements.



Responsibilities
  • Carrying out creation, maintenance, and documentation of critical resilience plans specifically held by the Operations Resilience team.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the resilience of the airport operation, and to satisfy legislative requirements of stakeholder engagement in resilience.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on plan writing, providing assistance to partner business functions.
  • Carrying out regulatory compliant exercising to ensure that resilience arrangements are proven to be robust through regular testing, and improvements implemented where identified.
  • Providing subject matter expertise to infrastructure, airport site, and business developments, ensuring that resilience is considered within design.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on command and control, and ownership of the Heathrow on call incident response structure.
  • Conducting incident reporting, debriefing, and identification of lessons learned to continually improve the avoidance of risks and the operational response.


Qualifications
  • A comprehensive understanding of emergency planning and business continuity planning.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to lead challenging discussions with internal and external stakeholders around the need for change and resilience accountability.
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Experience in project management and delivery.
