Task Responsibilities:

Sales business

  • Achieve sales targets by successfully managing sales plans
  • Target customer that can support product business in Germany
  • Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue reports and realistic forecasts to the Country Manager
  • Identify market shift while being fully aware of the competition activities, latest market information, schedule changes and updates on embargo etc.
  • Manages all sales activities, promotions and actions within the German market in cooperation with the Country Manager and the VP Area 2
  • Negotiate sales terms, conditions and rate agreements with customers in Germany
  • Accepting and coordinating air freight with route management/ load control / final destination
  • Producing regular reports, statistics and analysing sales performance and present them to Country Management
  • Analyse market trends and comprehensive sales possibilities
  • Responsible to achieve sales goals through effective planning and sales coverage
  • Responsible for the development and proper usage of the given Sales tools (CRM, SAP Analytics) by his team
  • Being the back-up Manager for the Country Manger in his absence
  • Look forward generating new opportunities for the organization
  • Lead all sales activities (i.e. exhibition presence, sales trips)
  • Obtaining market information and keeping record on same


Team Management

  • Leading his team to reach targets and goals
  • Training his team members to perform customer service and sales activities
  • Set and record goals for the sales performance of the sales team
  • Spot checks on offers made by his team to ensure Cargolux spirit
  • Ensuring all Sales related processes are followed in Germany
  • Providing customer service and assisting his team in regard of their sales activities
  • Engagement of his employees to push sales targets and ensure positive work conditions

Essential Requirements For The Position:

  • at least 10 years of proven Cargo experience is a must
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Fluency in English and German written and spoken is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (empathize with employees, challenge and motivate the team )
  • Experiences with producing reports, statistics and analysing sales performances
  • Very good presentation skills
  • Motivated leading by example and hands-on mentality are required
  • Should be able to set goals, think analytical, be flexible, act independently and on your own responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritize when presented with a high volume of work load
  • Economical understanding of the air cargo market
