•Salary £10.76 + 17.5% shift allowance totalling £12.63 per hour

•After a 3 month probation period, salary will rise to £11.92 per hour plus 17.5% shift allowance totalling £14.00 per hour

What will I be doing as a Terminal Security Officer?

 

 

In this exciting role you will get involved in;

 

Conducting hand searches of cabin luggage and passengers as required at the central search security area

 

Operating high-tech security equipment such as X-Ray machines and body scanners

 

Patrolling our Terminal

 

Checking of staff ID cards and passenger boarding cards before entering the security area

 

Greeting guests to ensure they receive the very best service

 

 

 

 

What are the position requirements?

 

 

No security experience is required as we pride ourselves in offering full training, but you do need to have experience of working in a customer focused environment.  Naturally, we want to see enthusiasm, a pro-active attitude and your ability to deliver excellent customer service. As the face of MAG we need you to be well presented, punctual and focused on attention to detail.

 

 

Please note, all candidates must have perfect colour vision and the role will require long periods of standing, bending, walking and manual handling.

 

 

If you’re successful you will be made a conditional offer subject to Pre-Employment checks and passing your initial 3 week training course which is fully paid. Our checks include: A Criminal Record Check, 5 years employment history and Counter Terrorism Check. You will also be required to attend a face to face medical appointment.

 

 

Due to the nature of our security checks we are unable to consider any applications from candidates who have not lived in the UK for the last 3 years.

 

 

 

Contract Information

 

 

We have various working hours available. You will work an average of 20 hours per week but with flexibility to work up-to 30 hours per week at busy times.

 

 

You will be issued with a roster in advance which covers a 10 week window showing your shifts which then repeats every 10 weeks. We do ask that you can be flexible for two out of the ten weeks and for these two weeks you will be notified of your shift times 14 days in advance.
