Lead Supply Chain Quality Manager: Aircraft wing movables (d/f/m)

As the Lead Supply Chain Quality Manager (LSCQM) with the special role “Supply Chain Quality Sub-MFT Representative”, you will be a core member of the Procurement team. Within this Market Segment (also called MFT), you are the Supply Chain Quality Representative to the sub-MFT “Leading Edge Devices” which are parts of the wing of an aircraft.

This is a strategic, cross-program, and cross-supplier position. Reporting directly to the Head of Wing Movables, you will act as functional leader to the operational LSCQMs and Supply Chain Quality Managers (team size: ~7-8) to ensure the long-term health and performance of the entire sub-MFT. You will participate in the monthly Sub-MFT and represent the Head of Wing Movables in that multi-functional environment.

Your role operates with a high degree of autonomy, leading strategic initiatives and orchestrating the sub-MFT´s success by focusing on proactive management and forward-looking strategy.

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Supplier Performance Management: synthesizing performance data from all suppliers to create a holistic view of the sub-MFT´s health, identifying overall trends, risks, and opportunities

  • Quality Management & Incident Response: leading the high-level response to major cross-supplier incidents

  • Leading strategic, cross-supplier, and cross-program initiatives & RFPs. You will validate Call for Tender (CFT) inputs and provide the final Supply Chain & Quality (SCQ) rating for supplier selection

  • Long-term supplier development and responsible for defining the Supplier Quality Improvement Plans (SQIPs) across the sub-MFT

  • Strategic definition, planning and reporting of audits and assessments at the sub-MFT level. You will also be consulted on their execution to ensure strategic goals are met

  • Synthesizing rate management data from all suppliers to identify overarching risks and opportunities and to address complex scenarios.You are consulted by the team who manage the supplier ramp-up at supplier level 

  • Risk & Operations Management: assessing the overall sub-MFT risks and opportunities, ensuring that the supply base is resilient and prepared for challenges

  • Sub-MFT team internal governance: collaborate with the other two functional team leaders (also LSCQM, SCQ Sub-MFT Representatives), in order to align ways of working and set-up the team governance

Desired skills and qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or similar discipline with technical expertise

  • A strong understanding of supply chain and quality management principles, including industrial processes and de-risking methodologies

  • Proven leadership skills, Strategic Mindset 

  • Problem-Solving Expertise in managing high-level, cross-supplier incidents and implementing systemic corrective actions

  • Excellent communication skills - act as a bridge between operational and strategic teams

  •  English fluent, German and French are a plus

  • Ability to travel

  • A solid background in the relevant product group (Aerostructure) is desirable

  • Knowledge of metallic & composites manufacturing technologies (as well from other sectors) is a plus
