  • Manage the company’s IT infrastructure resources
  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers and networks (locally and remotely)
  • Manage the company AD , GPO, DNS, DHCP etc.
  • Provide hands-on local & remote support and higher-level troubleshooting
  • Assist with management of infrastructure licensing and purchases
  • Manage an extensive VMware virtual environment
  • Do routine maintenance and update procedures on various environments
  • Manage data backups for the organization including recovery, security and administration
  • Manage on-premises and cloud-based resources
  • Maintain backups, replications, and the safeguarding of company data
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery and Incident Response activities
  • Document policies and procedures
  • Execute infrastructure-related ongoing tasks and projects
  • Sustain network integrity and performance, server deployments and data security
  • Troubleshoot compute, storage and network problems
  • Proactively monitor and search for metric anomalies – to improve performance and resiliency

Requirements:

  • Proven 5 years of hands-on experience as a system administrator in environments of at least 100 servers / 500 users – based on both Microsoft and Linux servers
  • Solid background with installation, management, upgrades and troubleshooting of both VMware virtualization and Veeam data backup/recovery systems essential
  • Microsoft 365 administration and use of PowerShell and scripts for automation
  • Very high troubleshooting level in a domain environment (Active Directory, GPO, permissions, shares etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Linux based servers – installation, configuration and troubleshooting – a distinct advantage
  • Knowledge and experience with setup and operation of SAN/NAS storage devices: HPE Nimble / MSA a distinct advantage
  • Proven experience in installation, configuration and troubleshooting of networking devices (VLANs, VPN etc) –firewalls and edge/backbone switches – Fortinet and HPE a distinct advantage
  • Experience with fibre optic networking an advantage.
  • Knowledge of I.T security systems including AV \ EDR solutions, NAC, vulnerability assessment tools, patch management and server hardening
  • Strong capabilities in independent work and being an escalation point for Tier 1 support
  • Assist IT Infrastructure manager in diverse tasks
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure and meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated, detailed-oriented, highly organized and willing to learn
  • A strong proactive and “can do” approach.
