Your mission:
An internship opportunity titled : Internship in architecture studies and pre-dimensioning of hydrogen aircraft has just opened at Airbus Commercial located in Toulouse.
You will join the aircraft architecture and structural integration team operating in the field of future developments. The mission of the team is to develop constructive principles (for future aircraft programs) supported by multidisciplinary analysis and pre-dimensioning.
Your internship will consist in contributing to architectural studies for preliminary projects to support the choice of structural constructional principles for future aircraft.
Internship duration: 5 months, starting in March 2026.
Your main missions will consist in:
Evaluation of different concepts and architectural solutions for overall aircraft aerostructure
Definition of design principles for major structural nodes
Structural presizing with analytical methods or finite elements simulations
Proposals and comparative studies for improvement of global aircraft performance
These activities will be performed by integrating all applicable requirements : safety, industrialization, maintainability, operability, ...
Your tutor will support you, identify your professional objectives and develop your skills.
This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:
Global architecture of a hydrogen-powered aircraft
Design of aircraft modules for hydrogen storage and distribution
Pre-design of aeronautical structures
Concepts of ecodesign, production engineering and value analysis
Your boarding pass:
You are in your final year of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering.
You possess the following competences:
Technical
Experience with CAD tools (Catia V5 or V6) is required,
Finite elements: know how of theoretical approach and experience in NASTRAN and/or ABAQUS
A good understanding of the design and dimensioning of structures, and notions of flight physics, industrial implementation
Soft skills
Open-mindedness, a spirit of synthesis, agility, flexibility... to propose and analyse new technical solutions,
Good interpersonal skills : you will be in contact with different Airbus departments and partners
Language skills
Advanced level of English
