Job DescriptionAs the Sustainment Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) / Technical Publications Lead, the role will involve providing technical oversight and guidance of a team providing Engineering Support to Lockheed Martin UK Rotary and Missions Systems (LM RMS) programmes, with specific emphasis on providing ILS and Technical Publications support to the business.
The expected, but not exhaustive tasking of the role, will be to:
- Manage the workstreams and schedules of the ILS and Technical Publications team working primarily on programmes within the Merlin Portfolio.
- Support programme and customer leads meetings, as well as hold industry led meetings with external vendors.
- Act as the focal point for technical queries from management, customer, vendors and industry partners.
- Oversee production of technical publications to a variety of industry-standard specifications to a high standard and within set timescales. This includes both Military and Commercial standards.
- Validate customer and vendor publications ensuring a high standard of technical publication production.
- Support continuous improvement of the processes for ILS and technical publications, and where possible improve the performance measurements.
- Help provide specialist advice to the ILS programme leads on technical publications requirements.
- Act upon timely notification of any potential problems, and proposed solutions from the ILS and Technical Publications team.
- Support the management of the Compound Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (CIETP) updates amendments and Corrections (F765’s) for LM programmes, including interface with vendors.
- Provide support to the timely co-ordination of ILS deliverables, such as Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) reports.
- Carry out assurance reviews of Aircrew and Maintainer data modules as required.
- Comply with legislative requirements and Company and department procedures.

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience, including 5 in aerospace (military/commercial)
- Previous Team Lead experience in a defence setting
- Knowledge and experience of all ILS disciplines and the associated interactions
- Detailed experience of authoring Component Maintenance Manual (CMM) content (specifically Air Publications or Books of Reference (BRs)
- Knowledge and experience of producing Data Module content for Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETP)
- Understanding of Def Stan 0060/00600 and Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) requirements
- Performance driven, highly energetic and determined

- Confident self-starter, capable of innovation and lateral thinking
- Clear and impactful communication and presentation skills
- Must have a passion for technology and innovation
- Willing and able to travel at short notice
