Heathrow Airport Security Officer

Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for experienced Security Officers to join a well-respected and successful client at Heathrow.

Ensuring the safety of Heathrow and its thousands of passengers using the Heathrow Terminal 1-5 Train Stations. You will be respnisble for the safety and upkeeping of these incredibly busy stations.

Please note:

• YOU MUST HAVE A VALID SIA LICENSE TO COMPLETE THIS ROLE
• This role begins Tuesday 1st July

This Contract is from the 1st of July running for 6 weeks.

What's on Offer:

• £13.85 per hours
• Immediate start
• Day Shift 06:00 - 18:00 4on 4off
• Night Shift 18:00 - 06:00 4on 4off
• Weekly Pay (every Friday).

Key duties:

Responsibilities.

Provide security on the Heathrow rail stations

Conduct a security sweep on the stations every half an hour of the shift 

Complete a walk around the station and ensure everything is running smoothly

Ensure the collection of trolleys from relevant points in the station and placed in required storage areas.

Complete an incident/Accident Report for any issue you may encounter, including any near miss events (recording any injuries as a result of an accident to yourself or passengers).

Help Heathrow Rail Station Manager and their team in case of any emergency at the station

Check for any unattended items and ensure this is reported

To ensure that your ID Pass is on display at all times while at work

Help with the breaks where needed

Any additional reasonable duties requested by operational management

 
Requirements:

• SIA License
• A positive, customer-centric attitude with a genuine desire to create a pleasant experience for all airport visitors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and aid in stressful situations.
• Experience in a security or customer service role, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail to effectively identify potential security risks.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and adhere to strict security protocols.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and perform routine security tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends.
• Must be over 18.
